   Brief Study of Eight Planets

MERCURY
1. Mercury -

Mercury is the first planet you encounter when departing from the sun. It is therefore rather on the warm side: in some  places up to 430°C. Mercury is about the same size as our moon and also covered with craters.


2. Venus -
VENUS

Venus is next in line and the planet closest to our Earth. Yet it does not really look like it: the atmosphere consists of CO2, it rains sulfuric acid and the average temperature is 350°C.


3. Earth - 
EARTH

  Earth comes in third, about 150 million kilometers 
  from the sun.It is unique because it is the only 
  planet in our solar system where there is life.



4. Mars -

MARS
Mars is the most studied object in our solar system after the Earth and the Moon. The planet owes its red color to the abundant iron that rusts. Some scientists suspect that there was once life on Mars, and traces of it are being diligently searched for.
                           

                                                                                                                   
5. Jupiter -
JUPITER


Jupiter is the largest planet in our solar system, more than 1,300 times the size of Earth. She is heavier than all the other planets combined. It is not immediately pleasant to live there because it is always stormy.


SATURN

6. Saturn -

Saturn is best known for its ring. 
It consists of pieces of rock and ice that orbit.                               


7. Uranus -

URANUS
Uranus is a uniformly blue planet. She is special because
 she "lies on her side". The axis of rotation that runs through the north and south poles is not upright but is directed towards the sun. As a result, Uranus is warmer at the poles than at the equator. In any case, it is rather chilly: the average temperature 
is -214°C.



7. Neptune -
NEPTUNE

Neptune is the last in line, about 4,500 million kilometers from the sun. Neptune has the strongest winds in our solar system: in some places up to
